திருக்குறளை மொழி பெயர்க்கிறேன் என ஜி.யு.போப் எனும் பாதிரி அதைக் கேவலம் செய்தான், பைபிள் அறிவின்றி இதை வள்ளுவர் எழுத முடியாது என அசிங்கமாக சொன்னார் முன்னுரையில், ஆனால் அவர் காலத்தில் தோமோ இந்தியா வருகை கட்டுக்கதை கிடையாது, எனவே கிறிஸ்துவ வியாபாரிகளிடம் கேட்டிருக்க வேண்டும் எனக் கதைத்தார்.
